Course T102 - Planning & Controlling with TeamPlay Project Manager
Getting started with TeamPlay Project Manager through hands-on training. Participants
will gain a thorough background in the concepts of project planning &
scheduling while learning TeamPlay. This three day course leads the students
through numerous hands-on workshops that create and track an entire project
to completion using the three major elements of project management: schedule,
resources and costs. Critical path scheduling techniques will also be
covered.
Course Outline:
Day One:
- Introduction & Course Overview
- Creating Projects in TeamPlay Project Manager
- Creating the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Reference Documents and Deliverables
- Adding Activities, Notes, Steps and Documents to the schedule
Day Two:
- Creating network diagrams in TeamPlay Project Manager
- CPM Scheduling
- Constraints
- Organizing Activities - TeamPlay layouts and filters
- Assigning Resources, Roles and Costs
Day Three:
- Analyzing Resource/Cost Usage
- Optimizing the Schedule and Baselining
- Thresholds and Issues Monitoring
- Statusing the Project
- Analyzing the Statused Project
- Reporting and Project Website
Workshops & Workshop Reviews:
At the end of each module there are extensive workshops conducted in
order to ingrain and solidify the particular subject. A Review Section
is also used for discussion after each workshop.
